Tree fallen on powerline

APRIL 1, 2025 - Over the weekend, freezing rain and fallen trees caused extensive damage to both our hydro infrastructure and Hydro One's, leading to widespread power outages for many of you. We understand how challenging this situation can be, especially with icy and cold conditions. Please be rest assured that our dedicated team has been working relentlessly to restore power as quickly as possible.

Since the beginning of the storm, we have been able to successfully restore power to nearly 11,200 of you. Unfortunately, due to the extreme nature of the ice storm, approximately 875 remain without power, and we are continuing to actively monitor and revise our estimated time of restoration in the areas of Midland, Port McNicoll, Victoria Harbour and Waubaushene.

If you are still without power, we strongly encourage you to visit a warming shelter that has been set up in your area. Furthermore, if you do not see your area identified in our outage map, please reach out to let us know as trees and branches continue to fall on our overhead assets.

We want to assure you that we remain deeply committed to working until every last home we service has their power restored. We will continue to work today, tonight and tomorrow to restore power as quickly as we can.

If you have any questions or need additional support, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Thank you for your continued patience.
