Wood Pole Replacements 670 - 802 Elgin Street, Newmarket, ON Planned Construction

Newmarket-Tay Power Distribution Ltd. (“NT Power”) plans to replace electric utility infrastructure along Elgin Street, Newmarket to extend the original service life of the assets and thereby maintain/improve the reliability and quality of service for customers in the surrounding area.

A contract has been awarded to K-Line Maintenance & Construction Ltd. (“K-Line”) to perform the work on NT Power’s behalf and construction is scheduled to begin on Tuesday November 1, 2022 and is expected to be completed in 3 to 4 weeks, weather permitting. To complete this work in a safe manner, it has been identified a power interruption will be required on Thursday, November 10, 2022 between 7:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. affecting 134 customers on Magnolia Ave, Oakwood Court, Patterson Street, and Elgin Street in Newmarket. NT Power will hand deliver notices with details about planned outage to affected customers on Monday, November 7, or Tuesday, November 8, 2022.

What can you expect?

• Due to the nature of the work, there will be construction-related noise and dust from the equipment and trucks, though every effort to minimize this will be made.
• Access to the roadway will be maintained.
• When the work is complete, the roadways will be fully restored.
